Astavakrasana Yoga Pose

You are all witnesses! I will be able to do the Astavakrasana pose before the end of this year. NO DOUBT. This is my inspiration for continuing my Yoga "education." While in Tulsa, OK I went to a class at the YWCA called "Yoga for Athletes." It was the most fun and challenging class without all the chanting and breathing. A true work out that made me break a sweat. I am not very fancy - YET!

Although I am very proud of this pose, I do not look very photogenic! The only reason why I can do this is because I used to study ballet as a young girl. I am excited that yoga is helping me gain my flexibilty. The standing poses are the easiest for me because I can balance and I am limber.

The most challenging poses are the ones where all your weight is on your hands! How do people do this? I have the tiniest wrists and I swear they will break if I put my entire body weight on them. I will slowly work on these poses and mark my word. I will be ASTAVAKRASANAING before the end of this year.

Spring Touch

Definitely add some beige touches to your house and your wardrobe this spring. It is the color that favors us all. Nudes on nails and face will give you that natural glow that only "beautiful" girls can get away with. Invest in an awesome pair of heels with a discrete Spring touch, like a flower, a colorful pattern or even a cool texture that pops with a high heel.
Treat youself to some flowers on Friday so that you can enjoy them while you are home on the weekend. It's a nice way to add color, as well as a yummy aroma to your living room.
A nice pillow makes a couch. If you are tired of the couch you've had for years and years, give it a little make over with a throw blanket and/or an interesting pillow.

Need a Fashionable Helmet?

I know what you are thinking, "do they even make cute helmets?" Turns out THEY do!
Apparently, snowboarding companies are a good place to find your road gear too. This makes sense, snowboarding or skater dudes usually come up with the best hipster fashion first.

Talk about a fashionable way to SPLAT! Vespa's are cool, but are they really worth it? Be smart. If you do opt for this method of transportation, wear a helmet.

Fad or Fab?

If you think these are cute, STOP! 

A feather head band that flatters your face or gives a nice elegant and unexpected touch to your outfit is great, but this distracts! When you choose a feather headband, make sure that you are wearing it because it's fabulous, not because it's the fad at the moment. A headband should be used as a signature piece, it shold never be the focal point of your outfit.

These are CUTE! Simple, yet they make a statement without making you look like a bird. 

When you are being fashionable, you have to be thinking about YOU. What would look best on YOU? If you can't pull off the crazy feather head band... DON'T do it. And if you really want to, but you are still skeptical try wearing one on a casual day with a white t-shirt and a pair of leggings/jeans/jeggings. Wear simple shoes and no other accessories. This will help you make the transition from quiet to loud fashion without putting yourself in the spotlight prematurely. 

A little secret

I discovered Bella Pierre in Playa del Carmen while I was waiting to cross to Cozumel. There wasn't a 7 o'clock boat and thank goodness for that. I was bullied into sitting down at one of those annoying booths that make you try out their product. I was SOLD! Once the mirror was held up to my face I was amazed! The right half of my face was flawless. She put the magical powder on the left side and voila, I was flawless.

MINTY fresh!

Can we please talk about how cool it is that funky nail polish is finally back in style?! I used to be able to get away with it with I was a crazy girl figuring out fashion, but for a long time it was tabu to paint your nails any color that derived from a shade of pink, cream, redish or coral. Thank goodness, blues, greens, yellows and purples are back!

Dear Gaga,
