Owls. Owls. Owls.

In ancient Greece owls were a symbol of status, intelligence and wealth. In ancient Egypt and Hindu cultures it was believed that owls were the protectors of the dead. The owl was also known as the keeper of spirits and would accompany the spirits while they left the physical world and entered the spirit world.

The owl has been viewed as a messenger in places in West Africa. In Native American culture the owl is the keeper of all sacred knowledge. Suffice to say that the owl is one of the most worshiped birds of all.

We cannot seem to escape them, but why would we want to. They are the symbol of wisdom and have recently made a come-back as a must have accesory for every occasion.
